My son just purchased this used washer from a friend of his and it worked like once and then the drain hose popped off of it. He said it worked completely before the hose popped off. Was able to get the hose back on (clamp came off somehow) but now it will only fill up with water and agitate or run in the wash and rinse part of the cycle. No drain nor spin. Not sure what to check nor what would have caused it to stop working. Any suggestions? It does not drain nor spin in any of the cycles. Turned the knob a click at a time to try and get it to work and nothing. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated before I have to call him a repair tech that he can't afford. Thanks all.

I think you problem is the lid switch and that this problem is only a coincidence with your hose problem.

Here is the part

Part number: AP3100001
Part number: AP3100001

and there is a neat video that shows how to change it out. You can test the switch by by-passing it. The repair takes some time, but it is not difficult and if there are two people to do it then things will go a log smoother.

Good luck.
