Model is sharp
I think of myself as pretty good at diy and repair, but I am afraid this one has got me. I was doing an mot on my microwave, stripping, cleaning etc. Anyhow what I failed to notice when putting it back together was a piece of metal just touching the fan unknown to me. Today I was using the micro oven and I noticed it getting hotter than usual on the top where I sit some plates heating them up. I never thought nothing of it. Then I used the microwave to bake a potato, half way through baking the microwave cut out and stopped working. I opened it up again and noticed that the fan was stopped from turning. I let the micro cool down hoping that it would start again, but no it did not start, no lights nothing. If I new what part is probably damaged I could change it myself, but what part would it be is my question.

Hi Simon

I still have the operational manual and it says the model and serial number are on the right hand side when I open the microwave door. Which they are as follows.
The manual says R-890SLM
microwave oven with top & bottom grills and convection.
900w (IEC 60705)

Model number is R-890SLM
serial number is 100804687

Hi Simon
I don't fully understand what it is you need. I checked on the sharp web site and this model is there with all the technical details for the exact same model that I have. What is it that you require and I will get it from sharp.
