I have just received my brand new Whirlpool Clothes Washer. I got a fright the first day I went to use it. When I opened the door to put clothes in water poured out of the drum onto the floor. I thought maybe there was water in the drum which leaked in during installation. I then washed some clothes on the normal cycle and went to bed. The next morning I opened the door of the washer to take out the clothes to put them in the dryer and water POURED out the door again ! Each of these times I closed the door and ran the shorter spin cycle to get rid of the water.

Yesterday I ran another load to test what was going on. The normal cycle ran to completion but when I opened the door and checked the clothes I found water was still in the bottom of the drum. I decided to leave it overnight to see if any more water collected. Well it did ! I went to bed with water in the bottom of the drum and this morning it was visible through the door as being half way up the drum.

My husband has rechecked the hook up twice and found no problem. Can you tell me what the problem might be ?

Hi.

You may have the high water pressure or defective water inlet valve.
First have a plumber check the pressure and if that is OK - call for the warranty repair.

Simon.
