Sorry, I have been out. Yes I see I left the 1 off the end. 790.77489801 When I power the oven up, it (controller) buzzes, and clock flashes 12:00, but won't accept a setpoint. After about a minute, it beeps and flashes F11 code. When I reset, the "delay start" lite comes on. All buttons beep when pressed, but will not do anything. Looking for what F11 means, and any help I can get. Range is a few months out of warranty.

"F11" fault code means "Shorted keypad". There is no a separate keypad in this model and the correction is to replace the Electronic Oven Control (aka a clock/timer). It's recommended to replace it together with the overlay because it's glued on. - The EOC Part number: AP4362413

Thanks Gene, I was afraid of that. Glad you could get the code, I would hate to change the controller only to find out it was a sensor or other inexpensive part.

I ordered a new control, and in the meantime I took the old control apart and cleaned it with electrical contact cleaner. I let it dry out several hours, and installed it. It started out with the same code, but we needed the cooktop for supper. After about an hour it started working. I will wait for the new part to come in, but if it keeps working, I won;t change it.

I'm afraid it's not going to last long. Keep the new part as long as possible.

Hey Guys, My parents just experience a lightning strike close to their home and a coorsponding electrical surge which knocked out a couple of their applicances in addition to several of their electrical devices.
My specific question is regading their Whirlpool Smooth Tope Oven/Range (Model # GR448LXPS1). Once the power was restored to their home the range began displaying a series of numbers so I made the assumption that the controller was bad and ordered a replacement from appliancepartspros.com but once installed it was still giving the same random numbers. I'm wondering if anyone might have an idea as to what the problem is and which part(s) need to be replaced. Below is a list of the numbers that continually flas on the display. Thanks in advance for the help.
Error Codes: 79 r 4, 999, 516, 820, 634, 170, 449, 541, 169, 263.

Error Codes: 79 r 4, 999, 516, 820, 634, 170, 449, 541, 169, 263. The numbers you posted not even close to a valid error codes listed in the Tech sheet. The first thing I would do is measure the voltage at the range wall outlet and at the control board. It suppose to be 240 VAC at the outlet and 120 VAC between P4-1 (white wire) and P4-3 (black wire). Make sure the black wire is hot and the white wire is neutral. If the voltage reads OK, try to set the clock and use the Bake and Broil. Post the results. Gene.
