Wtaer is hot put high limit reset keeps popping. once reset heats water ffine but will pop again?

Probably lower t-stat problem if your still popping top stat. if you can, actually measure the temp of the water, or maybe you notice the water is hotter than normal?
Check water temp. If too hot versus your settings, replace lower stat and monitor.
