my freezer is a manual defrost. The freezer will cycle on and cool and then cycle off as normal. However, it sometimes does not cycle back on and everything defrosts! The problem is sporadic. Can anyone tell me what the problem is, please????

Probably a bad cold control. You are going to need a model number to get one.

I have a sears parts department really close. I will get my model # and check their price and on-line too.:)
