Trying to put in new agitator. My bolt is stuck. It turns but the whole axel is turning with it because the inside ridges of the agitator are stripped. Im guessing in order to get the bolt out I'm gonna have to be able to hold the axel while turning the bolt. Is there a way for me to get to the axel, short of using an electric saw and sawing the old agitator off.

My advice is to go ahead and destroy the agitator. That is the safest thing to do as you could a whole lot of damage otherwise.
