I have been researching to replace the agitator dogs in my Kenmore 90 Plus series washer, and everything that I read says that when I take off the agitator cap, there is a bolt there to be removed to take off the whole assembly. My problem however, is that there is no bolt there. I can see the top of what looks like just a metal rod, but no bolt in sight. Is there some other way that I am just not finding to remove the assembly?

Thanks.

Found out the problem. Apparently some models have a plastic piece there with a square opening in it. I had no clue that IT was the part you need to unscrew. My friend found a ratchet extender with a square end and it fit perfectly and popped right out!

I'm glad you were able to figure out how to handle it. Thank you for the feed back.

The tool you are looking for is a 1/2" socket wrench driver.
