How Do I Replace The Defrost Heater In My Frig

remove the evaporator cover to gain access.The back panel in the freezer. Then remove the the 1/4" screw that holds the evaporator at the bottom and moved the evaporator outward to remove the heater element. Then install new heater element from the bottom of the evaporator making sure it is in the center of the evap coils.
I assume you have tested and found the heater bad.

I assume you have tested and found the heater bad. I ASSUME IT IS NO GOOD, IT IS BROKEN INTO 2 PIECES, AND THE PICTURE OF THE REPLACEMENT IS IN ONE PIECE. THANK-YOU FOR YOUR ANSWER, :)
