Oven w'ont heat to temp. It will heat to aprox 250 degrees when set to 450. Broiler works fine. Is this a sensor problem or something else?
Thank you,
Jim

Jim,

Yes , it could be a bad sensor,

Do you have a multimeter to test the sensor resistance ?

Were it me , I would start at the bake element itself.

I would check for, cracked or melted area(s) on the element coating.

I would also remove the element mounts and check for loose or melted connections, or wires, you may even want to test for 240 volts on the element terminals, in a bake cycle, then test the sensor circuit and control if all checks OK.

Good Luck,
