Stainless Steel Kitchen Aid oven issue--opened oven door and let it fall freely (mistake)--door will now not close the last inch or so, it is just open enough for the light to stay on--nothing appears bent or broken--springs in door are fine--have removed door and reinstalled several times--repair center guy can find nothing wrong--any ideas

Hopefully, you did not damage the oven cavity front panel. Check the oven front panel for chipped porcelain or a bulge (out) in the area around the opennings for the door hinges, that would require a new front panel. Also check the inner door liner for the same situation(chips and bulges). Part number: AP3673245
