My Maytag Neptune is leaking water out of the door. The door appears to be locked but a great deal of water pours out of the door. The only way to stop it is to put the washer in spin. What could cause this and approximate cost to repair?

You most likely have a clog or hole in the airdome hose or a malfunctioning water level switch, or loose wire connection at either component. We can help you more effectively with a model number from the serial plate located on the inside panel when the door is opened.
