I replaced the ice maker for my amana fridge because the old ice maker appeared to be leaking water into the ice bucket making one large clump of ice. This unit is doing the same thing, I turned the small water supply screw down but that did not help. I don't believe the ice maker is bad because I was watching the water going into the fill cup of the ice maker out of the feed line and it was splashing all over, could this be one of the feed/water valves. I just replaced the water valve and I am getting the same problem, The water from the feed tube is being forced into the cup causing it to splash all into the ice bucket any suggestions?

Hi.

Try to adjust the fill tube (the distance between it and the fill cup).Make sure it's not touching the cup.

I put a 90 degree 1/2" pvc elbow on the end of the feed tube, This seems to have fixed my problem. The elbow directs the water down into the ice maker without splashing into the ice bucket creating one giant block of ice! Very easy and inexpensive fix.
