Hi Gene,
Finally turn the oven on last Sunday and so far it is still working. So I guess the hotness is OK! Might be just the wrong fuse the last time. Thanks a lot for your help!

I'm Back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I previously posted about the dreaded E6 F2 code back in March 2011. Here's that post.
I have a Whirlpool Akkubake Model RBD275PDB12 double oven in black. LIke so many others, I got the E6 F2 code of death after Mrs. Doc used the cleaning cycle. The panel was blank, the only thing that worked was the oven light. Per directions read earlier in this thread, I disconnected the control panel/control board connector ribbon after tripping the breaker. Powered back up and waited. Finally saw a E1 F2 code, but it too is now gone. The next morning the E6 F2 code was back.
I replaced the control panel and it fixed the problem. Unfortunately just over a year later I got the same code again. Figures, since the part had a year warranty. This time though, after I disconnected the panel/board connector ribbon and powered back up, I've got nothing but a blank screen. Does this mean I need a control board this time around?
Thanks (again) Doc

Hi Doc,
Reconnect everything back together and give it a try. Post the results.

Gene. Hi Gene, Did that, nothing on the pad overnight. I'm also pretty sure it's not the transformer because I forgot to turn off the power and got a little buzzz when I touched part of the control board. Doc

Doc,
If the display is blank and this is not the transformer then the control board has gone bad. Unfortunately this part has been discontinued. Looks like it's time for a new oven. Sorry for that bad news but it could be a good news for your wife. Lol.

Gene. Well that's a real bummer. Just for kicks, I repeated the whole process, reconnected the connector ribbon, and powered back up. The panel beeped a few times, but no code appeared overnight. For what it's worth (probably not much), the over light still works. Any chance of getting the control panel rebuilt? I really can't afford a new oven. Doc

Gene, You helped smitty33.... my problem is the same but my model number is RBD245PDB10 It is a black, Whirlpool, electric, in-wall, double oven. Thanks so much!!! bonasera2 Originally Posted by: Gene smitty33, Open the lower oven door and remove the screw on each side trim. Plug the ribbon back into the slot. Check the low voltage transformer for continuity across the two red and the two blue wires. If any of pairs is open then the transformer has to be replaced. - The part number for the low voltage transformer is AP3968801 Reconnect all back, turn the power "on" and post the results. Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool oven Model RBD275PDB12 Gene.
