Check for loose connections between the power outlet and the control board. If there is nothing wrong, check the transformer (#10 on the diagram).

The closest error code I found is "1D11". If this is correct, then it means "runaway temperature".

The first thing you may want to do is measure the oven temperature sensor resistance. The normal reading suppose to be about 1100 Ohms at the room temperature.

If the reading is incorrect, replace the oven sensor.

If the reading is correct, replace the control board.

My parents just experience a lightning strike close to their home and a coorsponding electrical surge which knocked out a couple of their applicances in addition to several of their electrical devices.

My specific question is regading their Whirlpool Smooth Tope Oven/Range (Model # GR448LXPS1). Once the power was restored to their home the range began displaying a series of numbers so I made the assumption that the controller was bad and ordered a replacement from appliancepartspros.com but once installed it was still giving the same random numbers. I'm wondering if anyone might have an idea as to what the problem is and which part(s) need to be replaced. Below is a list of the numbers that continually flas on the display. Thanks in advance for the help.

Error Codes: 79 r 4, 999, 516, 820, 634, 170, 449, 541, 169, 263.

We are experiencing the exact same problem....what ended up being the solution to this?

Hi,
I have a GE Oven, JKP18S, which is about 10-11 years old. Having issues with the temperature, sometimes with the oven "super" heating and others where it fails to achieve temperature. I neither instance, I have to shut the thing off at the breaker. I'm getting an F4 code on it. I replaced the temperature sensor myself, but it does not seem to have made a difference. Is there something I might be missing here, or do yo uhave other ideas on how I might fix it?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts you might have.

If so, is there anything I can check to be sure? The codes come on 60 seconds after I turn the breaker back on and cannot be removed. The whole issue actually started with the door lock mechanism not working properly. Is it possible they are related?

Mark, I have a Whirlpool built in undercounter Oven about 5 years old but have no idea where to find the model number. Today I started a auto clean function and when my smoke alarm went off I saw a F code and a E3 on the display and I observed flame toward the rear of the oven. I hit off and the display showed cool locked then after a time I was able to open the door.
The area where I observed flame was clean and the display was normal.
I need some help in troubleshooting GBS307PRB01

Very likely it was an excessive amount of grease inside the oven which got caught on fire due to high temperature during the self clean. Such grease should be cleaned manually prior to self clean.

Double check everything and run it again. Any error code consists of 4 elements: "F" with a digit and "E" with a digit. All 4 elements are important for proper diagnosis.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Parts for Whirlpool GBS307PRB01 Wall Oven - AppliancePartsPros.com
