My dryer will not automatically shut off when in the sensor mode. What do you think the problem is?

Here are your parts Replacement parts for MAYTAG MDET446AYW DRYER- ELE | AppliancePartsPros.comCheck/clean your moisture sensor. The machine may think that the clothes are still wet. The way it works is that a voltage is applied to the 2 metal strips. When moisture or dirt/residue is between the strips a current flows and the board senses this and continues to run. Clean between the strips with a damp cloth and dry. If this does not work try isopropyl alcohol, just be sure to let the vapors dissipate before trying it. |
