Gene. I unplugged the wire harness from the EOC (to completely eliminate the harness and temp probe from the picture) and then measured the resistance between the two pins (which had high resistance). I then unplugged the wire harness from the temp prob (again, eliminating it from the picture) and it measured good resistance. I really didn't measure anything through the wire harness, should I do that? I figured if I got good reading from the EOC only and the temp prob only, then I would check the wire harness to see if that was the problem. But since it measured the EOC was the problem, I didn't bother with checking the harness. -Aaron

Aaron,
The resistance reading between the pins on the EOC does not mean anything in this situation. On the other side, the resistance reading at the plug which is connecting into the EOC is very important and should match exactly with the reading at the temperature probe. If it does not, then there is a problem with the wire harness.

It suppose to be about 1100 Ohms at the room temperature.
as being the two pins on the EOC. I'll check the plug which is connecting into the EOC to verify the harness. If this reading is OK, then the EOC is bad (correct?). If its doesn't match what I read at the temp probe, then it's the harness (correct?). Thanks for all the assistance. -Aaron

Gene, The harness checked out fine. I was able to get an EOC from Appliance Parts and replaced it last night. That resolved the problem. Thanks for all your help!
