My Side by side is accumulating ice on the floor of the freezer. Does anyone know why?

Hi fvetampa

Most likely the problem with your fridge is a clogged and frozen up drain.
The drain is located on the bottom under the rear panel inside the freezer. You can use a hair dryer to defrost the drain and a few cups of hot water to run through.

- For the future references here are the break down diagrams for the Maytag refrigerator Model MSD2454GRW

Good luck.
Gene.
