Hi:

Dryer is struggling to turn with heavy loads (usually jeans). It seems to turn fine with lighter (or no) loads. The belt seems snug. I changed the front & rear bearings last year.

Is the motor going south on me? Or is the belt maybe not as tight as it needs to be?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Check your bearings again, something may have gotten hung up but if everything is ok then it probably is the motor.

Thanks for the response.

If I change the motor, do I also need to change the pulley, or anything else while I'm in there?

I would put on a new belt and change out the tension pulley just so you don't have to go in and do anything else again for the foreseeable future.
