Pull off the pump and motor and turn the tranny coupler clockwise till the spin basket just starts to turn. If hard to turn the coupler with one thumb and forefinger, you have something jamming the spin basket, or dragging brake shoes. If bad brake shoes, you probably also have a worn clutch. Check my brake shoe replacement article in the general talk section for info. Post results.
