I got this GE Fridge Freezer on bottom, it's not cooling hardly so I found the compressor fan wasn't working. I purchased a new fan and installed and it didn't work either.
Before discovering the compressor fan was not working I took the freezer panel off to check evaporator and it was fine. At that time I didn't unplug the fridge I just turn the temp setting to off and the defrost heater was on. Not sure if it was just the right timing or not. Is it possible for a fridge to be running and defrosting the same time causing the compressor fan not to run?

GE Profile fridge Check your inverter ( compressor Electronic Unit) Typically attached right next to the compressor and grey box… back of fridge Part# wr49×10283 Depending on your fridge unit just a note, the part numbers may be different on the sticker attached to the unit, Cost about $250 on Amazon , more at a dealer. It’s not hard to replace, few screws, and a few quick connect harnesses. If your compressor and fan are not working, this is most likely the issue as to why your fridge and freezer are not cooling off. Edited by user Tuesday, October 3, 2023 8:27:16 AM(UTC)
