My Whirpool Special Edition washing machine with 2 speed motor and 2 load choices, Small and Extra Large, fills at extremely slow rate for hot water but normal rate for cold water. I would assume the hot water control valve is stuck in an almost closed position. Any help would be appreciated otherwise I'll have to disconnect the hot hose and add a ball valve to hose and then manually fill the tub with hot water.

Can you give the model number? It should be on a label under the lid on the rim.

Take the hot water hose off at both ends. Look for a screen in the top end of the hose & clean, and also clean the screen inside the hose connection on the machine. Attach the hose at the top and point it into the tub or down the drain and check flow rate, then connect to machine and try hot fill...

Or spend $12 and be done with it. What is your time worth?
