While testing the thermal switch on my dryer, it grounded and made a pop. Now, after putting a new switch in it does nothing when i try to start it. I tested the start switch with an omh meters and it is fine. Think i may have blown the motor. Any advice?

When checking for possible causes of dryer issues, please check to see if the circuit breaker tripped. It may not look like it has but turn it off then back on. If you still don't have a response then, possibly you may have blown the thermal fuse. See part 36 in diagram.
