There is power to the washer. Usually all the lights flash to show what cycles will be performed when the start button is pushed. Now just the fill light blinks. Beeps twice, waits a bit, beeps twice and so on till you push the start button and hold it to turn off the machine. It does not fill on any cycle. The last load tried to empty and fill at the same time - quit in the middle and did not drain. I have emptied the tub - no water remains inside. The belt is fine - no cracks or tears. I tried the reset by unplugging for 1 minute, plug back in, raise and lower the lid 6 times within 30 seconds of plugging back in. That didn't work. Not sure if it's the drain motor that needs replacing. Any clues? Thank you for any insight you can provide.

Well GE put a squirrelly control module on this model and put a squiarelly mode shifter inverter on this model and the result is a machine that is almost impossible to diagnose and when you do diagnose it the cost of the repair is horrendous.
My advice is to ship it to the curb and get a new one with no electronics, but if you want to try and fix it I think the control unit is the most likely candidate. You can try replacing it on spec, and the good news is that if you buy from this site and the new control module does not solve things you can return it.

Ok, I'll check on the control module. I got this on special for just over $100. new about 5 years ago. Sure have gotten my money's worth. But would rather fix it than replace it. Especially since I doubt I'll find the same deal again! Thanks for the reply and advise. Greatly appreciated!
