here the problem that i am having the washer is very noisy like something is broke while in the wash cycle and when during the spin if you push to stop it the drum continues to spin until it comes to a stop i'm just not sure of the cause i just replaced a bad basket drive block maybe it's the brakes are not working or maybe the transmission has completely gone out in just at a loss trying to figure out the cause of the problem and how to test

It does sound like the brakes have a problem. I would take out the transmission and check things in the brake assembly. Sometimes all it takes is a disassemble and re-assemble to fix this, but you may have to replace some brake parts.
