I am replacing the machine control electronics assembly on my Whirlpool Cabrio dryer. I have disconnected all of the wires except for two that I cannot for the life of me figure out how to disengage. They are the violet and red wires leading into a tan clip (and connecting to the orange heater relay 2).

A photo is attached.

I've prodded, pulled, and squeezed, and they won't budge. What am I missing?

Those are just spade terminals but I cannot tell if the plastic connector has a lock on it or not. If it does, it would be pretty visible. A flat screwdriver under the connector with a slight twist often times will get it loose with little effort.

Thanks, Ninja. Managed to pry it loose from underneath as you suggested. Up and running again.

Sometimes those spade connectors get very hard to get off. Glad you got it, nice job!
