Hi,
My dryer was working great, and yes it is probably old but still in great condition. I was doing running and went to check on it, and the timer was still at half way, and the machine was completely stopped. Have tried other settings, but when I turn the on know all I get is a click sound from the "board" area (sorry don't know the name). Any ideas?
thanks

Check if there is 240 VAC to the dryer.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for FRIGIDAIRE FSE747GES1 | AppliancePartsPros.com

Thanks for replying, but what does 240 vac mean? I tried switching the door panel to the other side (right open or left open) to see if maybe the switch was bad, but it still didn't turn on.

You have to have a simple voltmeter to check the voltage at the dryer wall outlet.

Hi,
The light inside the dryer comes on when it is plugged into the outlet, or does this mean nothing?

The light bulb as well as the motor needs just 120 VAC while the heating element needs 240 VAC.

OK, will go get one tomorrow.
Is it possible to take the "control board" and have that tested?

I did not see any control boards for this model.

I was talking about where all the knobs connect to inside the machine.

Lets do it step by step, one thing at a time.
