Dryer does not start. Replaced thermostat & thermal fuse-was recommended. Still does not start. I checked the push on button continuity is ok. Timer only makes noise on low heat setting. Could the timer be bad? Spent $42 already on non returnable parts. Thank You

Here are your parts Replacement parts for agd4370tq0 models | AppliancePartsPros.comHere is the wiring diagram http://www.servicematters.com/d...0Sheet%20-%208528187.pdfI usually do not mess with gas but this sounds like an electrical problem. Could the timer be bad? Yes but check it. Note the thermal fuse will not stop the unit from running, it only shuts off the heat. Put the unit into a timed dry mode. Your circuit path is then: Neutral , DOOR SWITCH , PUSH TO START SWITCH , MAIN and START motor windings , timer contacts BU/BK , L1 LINE Unplug the unit and check the BU/BK contacts should be a short (0 ohms). Remember to unplug one side of anything you are measuring. This ensures that you are not reading an alternate/parallel circuit path. |
