The washer will drain during the "drain/spin" cycle, but will not spin, so the clothes are still full of water

Octavio, The model number you supplied is not correct or complete for a GE washing machine.
The majority of "no spin" issues in top load washing machines is an article that gets stuck between the outer tub and the spin basket. That may be where you want to start.
