Hi Gene,

Would you know what the part number is for the thermostat for the GE Model # TCX18 ? The one presently in the fridge has these numbers on it: L55-30F which I assume is the high open @55*F and the low close @ 30*F it also has T.O.D 37T31 marked on it as well.

I downloaded the Service Manual you were kind enough to post above but the resolution is really bad on the page where the part number is listed.

Appreciate any help you can offer, thanks.

UPDATE: Would the part no WR50X133 do the job, just found this as a replacement.

I have the same problem with the same fridge. I defrosted the coils and started it back up. Cold air was blowing out of the fridge vent but after it hit 12 degrees it stopped/. I checked the coils and they were fine. Is this a thermostats issue as well??

Hi,

I changed the thermostat and it solved the problem. It's been a year now, and still work fine.
