I have an AMANA dryer. The belt appears to be in correct place. Heating element working. Drum not turning. Seems to overheat.

If the belt and dryn are correctly positioned the problem is the motor is not turning. The dryer is heating up because the motor is not turning the blower to exhaust the dryer.

Check to see that you have current to the motor, and if so, I suggest you change out the motor.

Good luck
