I have a new replacement defrost timer I bought part 482493.. This new timer unlike my old 1O hour one has a black lead wire.
I need to know do I hook it up to terminal 1,2,3,or 4. Before I plug the new timer in. Please help.. these instructions are like reading a foreign language to me. I tried calling sears parts and they were no help. I refuse to pay $125 for a 5 minute install job. Should be simple just plug and go.
Thanks so much

Hi Further reading of my instructions said to hook it to #1 for replacement of a 10 hour defrost timer. The new model is an 8 hour timer. Another question my bad repair kid. Said he took of the coil to defrost it... Defrost heater works, new thermostat, but freezer is only 28 degrees in center of fridge. and fridge is 42-44 degrees. Does the freon need to be recharged since HE SAID "he took off the coil?"
