Ron,
In the clean cycle, both the Bake and Broil elements are activated and producing heat, thats probably why the range got hot in the clean cycle(only).

Have you programmed and check a Broil cycle for operation and heat ?

You didn't mention any fail codes in the display, so I'm thinking you need to remove the racks and bottom panel from the oven and check the bake element for wiring and or damage. If you have a multimeter check for 240 VAC across the element terminals when you program the bake cycle and temperature.

Part number: AP4701262
Part number: AP4701262

If you have the voltage at the element terminals, you'd have a damaged element, no voltage would indicate a damaged supply wire or inoperative relay on the control board.

:) :) :)

Ron,

Great job,

A meter will usually save you some money in the long run. and will come in handy for other projects.

You'll do fine, once you have the meter.
