I just bought a house and the microwave (JVM1851BH02) doesn't heat I tried replacing the HV diode but no luck, also Themostat(#79) has no continuity while all the others have continuity. I am wondering if it should have continuity at room tempature or not? Its probable the Magnetron but just wanted to check before I spent the money. I also checked the door switches and they check out ok. Thanks in advance, Chad

If you have done all those checks, it may be the magnetron, but I would first verify 120vac to the input of the high voltage transformer first. If you have it, then at least we know its a HV problem. As for the thermostat (#79) that would most likely be normal open and closes to turn on the blower to help cool the unit when the range below is in use.
