Kenmore Washer Series 80. Won't spin, agitate and makes a grinding noise

I put a load in the other day, a shirt got wrapped up and stuck. Now when I turn on the washer on spin cycle, nothing happens. The washer makes a humming/grinding sound. When I start from the begining of a cycle it will fill with water and that's it. It won't agitiate, spin or drain. Did I burn out the motor? I didn't smell anything burning or an electrical smell when the shirt got wrapped up. The shirt was only wrapped up for about 10 minutes.. Is there a way to check the motor. Is there a limit switch? Thanks for your help..

Does it make any noises on wash or drain cycles?

Sound like the motor is gone. Remove the cabinet. Remove the drain pump and the motor. Check all wires to the motor. Check the capacitor. Turn the washer on and see if the motor runs. - The part number for the motor capacitor AP3866194 - The part number for the motor AP2905451 Gene.

You can test the capacitor on continuity. It should be infinite and, after you switch probes around, it should be infinite again.
Test the motor as I described in the previous post.

Thanks for your help.. no my friend you just need a motor coupling that goes between the motor and transmission
