I'm getting a slow drip from above the basin at the back of the washer. So far, just annoying, but I could see it as a very serious problem if I left the water on while on a two-week vacation.
It appears to be coming from the outlet for the water fill.
Any suggestions appreciated.

Sounds like something like some grit is in the valve assembly. Change it out and you should be fine.
