My gardage disposal is jammed. I can move blades freely but it keeps making the humming noise. I alos cannot unjam it with te wrench. I tried pretty hard to unjam it but no luck.
Any idea?

Unplug the garbage disposer and using a flash light look inside through the top. Most likely there is a metal screw stuck or something similar to it.

I have a Maytag garbage disposal model #DFC3000AAX-1. It is whirling around but doesn't sound like blades are going. I pulled out all debris with tongs. I also used the wrench both ways and hit reset button but nothing improved. Does this mean it needs to be replaced? Please send me suggestions. Thanks

Did the blades move when you used the wrench? Using a flash light try to inspect the blades and the nut in the center.

Gene. Okay, I found out there is a screw stuck in my disposal, how do I remove it? I tried pulling it out with a needle nose pliers, but there isn't enough room in there to really make sure it is in the right place. Should I remove the disposer?

If nothing else works then this probably the only solution.
