Faster to replace handle and door frame, or replace complete door assembly? And how to repair?

The way the door on your microwave mounts, I would replace the handle myself. Basically you need a putty knife and while working around the edge of the door, you need to remove the inner frame called a choke over, then you can remove the outer panel leaving the middle metal portion of the door. Both parts are held in place by plenty of plastic tabs so you need to start at one point and work your way around until the parts come off. If you break a tab or two, not a big deal, just don't damage the metal portion with your tools.

Only one tab. That's better than I usually do. Glad I could help.
