I need to replace the hinges and the receptors on both doors. The parts listings show 2 different hinges and 2 different receptors. How do I know which part is correct?
Thanks.
Model is JJW9630DDB.

Ron the series number ( the first 2 numbers of the serial number)will determine which part to order/replace.

If you can re post the model and the serial number, we'd be happy to do the research the parts for you.

:) :) :)

Thanks. I'll have to get to it after the oven is off.

Joe, this just gets better. I made out the first 3 characters as "115" and the rest were grease covered. I took a sponge with soap to clean off the grease and it wiped out the serial number completely.
Is there another place the serial # would be?
I bought the ovens in about 2004.

Ron,

Sorry, but no, there is not a hidden model/serial tag.

So at this point you have a J/A double wall oven, model number JJW9630ddb series 11. (you may want to keep that handy for future reference.

With that, you will need to order at least one hinge/receptacle kit( you have the same hinges/receptacle on both doors),

Part number: AP4009190
Part number: AP4009190

After you install the kit, put the oven in a 4 hour self clean cycle, you'll be a lot more happy with the results.

Good Luck,

:) :) :)

Joe, a couple of more questions.
Does the kit contain 2 hinges and 2 receivers. Enough to do one door?
AND
Are these kits an upgraded set of hardware, as the original set was not up to the task of holding the doors shut. I don't want another under engineered hinge set.
Thanks.

Ron,

Yes on both counts, the hinges and receivers are re-engineered for longevity and a more "positive" closing action.
The "kit" will contain everything you need to repair 1(one) door assembly.
The 4 hour self clean cycle, has been a "unwritten" rule of thumb, on J/A products for 30 + years, that I know of.

You'll be fine,

Good Luck,
:) :) :)
