I have a defrost problem (ice build up on evaporator over a few days). The refer never will go into defrost mode. I can jumper the Line and Defrost connector on the main control board and the defrost heater turns on. I changed the main control board and still have the same problem.

You may want to replace the evaporator thermistor (on top of the evaporator). This thermistor controls the defrost cycle.

- The evaporator thermistor Part number: AP3185407

Thanks for the help. Is it the FF Thermistor or the Evap Thermistor? And where is it located?

Leonard

All thermistors in this refrigerator are identical.

Problem is fixed. I changed the evap thermister and no change. Even after reinstalling the original computer. I then replaced the freezer and fresh food thermistor and now the referigerator will defrost by itself.
