Just changed the couple on the washer and is still won't spin. Pumps water out okay and makes an attempt to spin but just can't get enough speed up...
I've taken it apart, jumped the lid switch and can see the clutch spinning but for some reason it is not getting the tub moving...
Any ideas? I've been told a basket drive tube kit might solve the problem but I'm not sure how it isolate this as the culprit...

Yeah, everything works just fine except the machine is not spinning the tub. This happened about a year ago and I changed the coupler between the motor and the transmission and that did the trick. I replaced the coupler last night but this time it seems as if something else is causing the problem.

Remove motor and turn tranny coupler clockwise. If hard to turn, you either have something caught in the tub, or jammed brake shoes. You can shine a lit in the tub to check for objects. If ok, you will need to pull tranny, loosen spin basket and pull/pry down spin tube to replace shoes. Click on your model # to oder shoes.
