there is no water going to the ice maker, but i do have water going to the outside water dispenser on freezer door

Did you ever find out what this was? Water inlet? I'm having the same problem.

What is the temperature in the freezer?

I had the same problem and heres what I found...
I first checked the silenoid that the outgoing lines are attached to. You have 1 water line comming in connected to a valve with 2 outlets. (1 to the freezer and 1 to the water) each 1 of them are operated by a switch. If that switch is bad then it will not send water to that paticular line. Now, mine worked! But I still didnt get water to the freezer. After making sure the temp was at least 17 degrees (it wont start producing ice until it is "cold" enough) I found that I actually had a kinked line where it was connected to the outlet in the back of the refridgerator. Now after straightening out the kink, I am getting perfect ice.
