Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 11/15/2010(UTC) Posts: 4		i went to turn on the cooktop light and the bulb made a pop louder than when a light bulb normally goes out. i got a new bulb and it still doesn't work. i checked the voltage to the socket and have 2 volts all the time. nothing changes when i push the off/low/high button. everything else works fine. any idea or help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked all the other functions of the microwave? Do you have power to the display? Will it accept cook commands?

You probably have a disconnected socket, or when the light blew, it burnt through a wire lead. You'll need to uninstall the microwave and remove the cabinet cover (10 or more screws) to access the socket.
