Whirlpool Gas dryer has been working fine.
Today it will not run. Press the start button & nothing.
Checked door switch, thermal fuse, timer, high limit thermostat.
I wired the motor directly & it runs fine. There is a part attached to the motor I think is a start relay. Took it apart & contacts were burned a little.
Cleaned & put back together but still not working.
I suspect that it is bad. I cannot find that part anywhere.
Does it only come with a new motor?
Any other tips would be appreciated. Maybe I'm missing something?

Click for dryer parts breakdown.

If youve tested everything and you are sure the motor is getting power then there isnt much left! The motor switch is not sold separate and comes with the motor.

Click for dryer motor.
