We need the complete model number of the dryer. You can find it on the door frame or on the top panel.

Hi Gene,
I have Frigidaire dryer model: FDG37GHS0. COULD YOU TELL ME HOW TO CHECK THERMOSTAT, TIMER, TEMP SELECT SWITCH, SENSOR, IGNITOR IN RESISTANCE. I OPEN THE DRYER APART, BUT DON'T KNOW HOW TO CHECK OR MEASURE THE DEVICES. I MEASURED ON IGNOTOR WITH 62 OHM, IS IT SUPPOSE TO BE THE SPECIFICATION? ALSO MEASURE TEMP SELECT SWITCH: HIGH TEMP SELECT WITH 7k OHM, MID TEMP WITH1.8k OHM, AND LOW TEMP WITH ZERO OHM. ARE THESE READING CORRECT? According to diagram: at high temp selection it should be open, at mid temp - it should be 2.4K ohm, and at low temp - it should be max of 10 ohm.
I SEE THE IGNITOR LIGHT UP FOR SECOND AND CUT OFF, AND THERE IS NO HEAT.
PLEASE HELP.
:(

Hi Gene,
Is there any possible way to check to see if the gas valve coils good or bad? can it be measured with DMM?

The coil with two terminals should have 1220 ± 50 Ohms.
The coil with three terminals, if held with terminals in upper position: a). across the left and the middle terminals - 1365 ± 25 Ohms b). across the right and the left terminals - 560 ± 25 Ohms.

I do not think there is something wrong with these parts. I would start with the gas valve coils unless you want to replace everything. Don't make it more complicated than it is.

Hi Gene,
Your support was helpful, I found my secondary coil burn. I replaced the part and now my dryer is backed to normal operation. My wife is happy and thanks for your great job.
