Hello,
I am hoping that I can get some help here. Our dishwasher no longer dries. I notice that the Heating Element is not heating up. I tested it and got a reading of 18 Ohms. From what I have researched online, it seems like this model does not have a thermostat, correct? If this is the case and the Heating Element is not the issue, what else could I check and how?
Thanks in advance for any help provided.

Your element checks OK (resistance is in range) so you're correct about that.

However, there is a thermal fuse(thermostat) that also has to be a closed circuit (infinite resistance). it is located on the bottom of the tub(looks like a little white box).

You may want to trace the orange wire at the heater terminal back to the thermal fuse.

And then,

There's the 3 button selector switch on the control panel.

When you select heated dry the switch contacts should close(infinite resistance) between red and white w/ red stripe.

When you select normal / air dry the circuit should open.

If those all check OK, the last possibility would be a bad heater circuit in the timer or a broken wire in the harness between any of those 3 components.

Good luck,

:) :) :)

Thank you very much for your response.

I'll check the fuse, the selector switch, and possible broken wires. If all those result OK, I'll be asking back for help on diagnosing the Timer.

Thanks again.

OK, not a problem,

That's what we're here for.

Hope you don't need a timer, but it,s a possibility.
