On most units there are 2 centrifugal switches on the motor. They close when the motor gets close to operating speed. One connects in the heater so that it does not heat up without air flow. The other provides a circuit path to the motor so the start switch can be released.
Could be that switch is toast or is not being activated.
If you do not have heat when holding the start switch closed then odds are the motor switch is not being activated. This could be just dust etc. jamming the centrifugal mechanism on the motor or the mechanism is broken. |
