my dish washer wont drain so i looked for a clog in the hose. I can not blow air through the house, houses all clear. I believe there is a check valve in the disposal where the hose hooks up and it is stuck. Any suggestions on getting this valve unstuck.

Have you replaced the disposal recently?

That might be a good idea, if you do make sure to knock the plug for the dishwasher out of the new disposal. I don't know how many calls we've had over the years for that.

hmm you dont say. I wonder if that could be the problem with mine. I put my finger in the hole for the hose and it feels like there is a plug in there and i cant move it. If the plug was still in there what would be the easiest was to remove it.

Remove the hose and use a big screw driver & hammer, make sure you get all of the plug out if that's what the issue is.
Hope that helps,
Nat
