Hello, hoping for some guidance here. I have the above dryer and the igniter is not lighting at all. Clothes have been taking a long time to dry the past couple of weeks and finally no heat today.
I have checked continuity on the following items and all have checked out okay.
1. Thermal fuse checks out okay
2. Igniter (reads 75 ohms)
3. Gas solenoids tested good. I replaced anyway but no change
4. Flame sensor checks out okay
5. High limit thermostat checks out okay
6. Cycling thermostat. I can't find it to check it. Haven't taken the dryer completely apart yet.
7. Thermistor (adjacent to the thermal fuse) reads about 9 ohms
Questions:
1. Is there a cycling thermostat on my dryer? I assume there is as the unit has several heat settings.
2. Can the igniter test good and be bad?

Anyone?
I did more troubleshooting over the weekend and here is where I'm at now:
1. Bench tested the igniter and it lights
2. Thermister reads between 9-10 ohms
3. Thermal fuse, gas solenoids, HL Thermo test okay.
I even went so far as to take the centrifigal switch apart at the motor and clean the contacts.
I still don't have a glowing igniter when starting the dryer. I'm at a complete loss as to where to go from here.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I finally found the problem. It was the heater relay switch up in the control housing. I found a troubleshooting guide online that suggested checking the relay switch if all the switches and thermostats check out okay.
I’m surprised there was limited information on the relay switch online. It’s probably because they don’t fail for a very long time and the issue is generally one of the 5 switches/thermostat.
To test the relay just swap the start button relay with the heater relay (they are the same exact relay) and see if you get heat. You have to hold the start button down by hand because it’s the only way the dryer will stay running with the faulty relay now being used by the start button. I hope this information helps someone.
