Began with not fully spinning/draining on final spin. Would respin/drain and seemed okay. After several loads like this the next load did not respin/drain when set to this and left water laying in washer. Tried next to start a cycle to watch exactly what was happening and it will now not even start a cycle. Lights come on, door lock light is on and door will not open but it will not even begin to fill.

Does this sound like it is the control board?

Not sure, the door lock assembly can also cause these symptoms.
Inside the lower service panel are tech notes that will tell you how to put it into diagnostic model and generate error codes and test some components. Focus on the door lock assembly and speed control board. But these models are hard to diagnose and in the end you may just have to start replacing parts and see what fixes it. If you buy the parts from this site you can return them if they are not needed.

I also has a similar problem and the door switch assembly fixed the problem. There is more than one circuit the door switch is handling.
